If you are in the vicinity of Kołobrzeg on the Polish seaside, it is worth going to Ustronie Morskie if you like war atmosphere and Urbex. There you can find the Battery of Permanent Artillery No. 31 (BAS-31), a military complex from the 1950s, built to defend the port of Kołobrzeg from the east. The battery consisted of four firing positions equipped with 130 mm guns and the Main Fire Control Point.
Currently, these facilities are abandoned and partially overgrown, but being the time of year when the forest is not green, you can get there without a problem. In the forest you can find three-story reinforced concrete structures, the highest floor of which served as a platform for the gun, the middle one housed ammunition magazines, and the lowest one was a shelter for the crew. The most interesting place, however, is the main fire control point - it is a tall tower, which housed devices for guiding and directing artillery fire.
Visiting these facilities is at your own risk, part of the structure is collapsing, concrete rubble is falling from above, so it is quite dangerous if you want to explore the interior. It is worth getting a helmet with a flashlight on your head - I did not expect it to be possible to go inside. A flashlight on your head will be especially useful when climbing the tower from the inside, theoretically there is no entrance there, but there are ropes made of wire and branches, but then two hands will be useful to get in. With a flashlight from my phone in my hand, I only managed to get to the first floor, I did not risk any further :)
Jak będziesz w okolicach Kołobrzegu nad polskim morzem to warto się wybrać do Ustronia Morskiego jak lubisz wojenne klimaty i Urbex. Spotkać tam można Baterie Artylerii Stałej nr 31 (BAS-31), jest to kompleks wojskowy z lat 50. XX wieku, zbudowany w celu obrony portu w Kołobrzegu od strony wschodniej. W skład baterii wchodziły cztery stanowiska ogniowe wyposażone w działa kalibru 130 mm oraz Główny Punkt Kierowania Ogniem.
Obecnie obiekty te są opuszczone i częściowo zarośnięte, ale będąc porą roku, gdy w lesie nie jest zielono, można tam dotrzeć bez problemu. W lesie spotkać można trzykondygnacyjne żelbetowe konstrukcje, z których najwyższa kondygnacja służyła jako platforma dla działa, środkowa mieściła magazyny amunicji, a najniższa schron dla obsługi. Najciekawszym miejscem jest jednak główny punkt kierowania ogniem - to wysoka wieża, w której znajdowały się urządzenia do naprowadzania i kierowania ogniem artylerii.
Zwiedzanie tych obiektów odbywa się na własną odpowiedzialność, część konstrukcji się zawala, lecą z góry betonowe gruzy, więc jest dość niebezpiecznie jeżeli chcesz eksplorować wnętrza. Warto zaopatrzyć się w kask z latarką na głowie - ja nie spodziewałem się że będzie możliwość wejścia do środka. Latarka na głowie przyda się szczególnie przy wdrapywaniu się na wieżę od wewnątrz, teoretycznie nie ma tam wejścia, ale są liny z drutu i gałęzi, ale przydadzą się wtedy dwie ręce, żeby wejść. Mając w ręku latarkę z telefonu, tylko udało mi się dostać na pierwsze piętro, dalej nie ryzykowałem :)
