Changing my eating habits 🥑

Hello and welcome! :)

So, I have recently started changing my eating habits. If you know me, you also know that I really like improving my daily habits, and now it's time to change the food. I eat 4 meals a day, and lunch is the biggest one. I used to eat whatever was in my fridge without paying much attention to it.

I started changing it by searching for some new meal ideas on the internet and I found some good ones. I also started counting calories (I was doing it for like a week, but I want to get back on track). Here, I'd like to share a few things about what I have learnt since then.

My goals and the main aim

My biggest goal is to be mindful about the food I eat, choose healthier options and have balance in every meal. I believe that small changes lead to huge results, so we will see how it goes.

Breakfast

One day, my brother had made pancakes before he went to school. I wanted to eat some of them, but there was still something left to fry, so I made 2 large pancakes and ate them with blueberry Skyr, grapes and a nut mix.

This is how it was supposed to look first:

Honestly, I prefer savoury breakfasts to sweet ones, so I didn't enjoy it that much.

This is the type of my favourite breakfast:

Bread or bun with avocado, a bit of lemon juice, salt, pepper, and fried eggs. Tastes so good! I also made a healthier version:

I usually make scrambled eggs with ham and tomato. Also my favourite breakfast.

I try to limit white bread, but it's not going well as it is very often the only bread that is in my kitchen, so I eat something else instead of it.

Lunch

My lunch obsession is a tortilla wrap. I usually eat two of them for lunch. I put chicken and lots of vegetables inside.

I also enjoy eating minced meat + tomato sauce + something like pasta or rice.

And the meal I have just discovered. It is SO GOOD! I modified the recipe a bit, but it still has a mix of different flavours - salty, sweet, spicy... I enjoy it the most as soon as it's done, the next day it doesn't taste the same, but is still very good. For me, it looks like spring on a plate.

Snacks/Beverages

I try to eat less processed food. When I am in a situation in which I want to eat a snack or need to buy something that is already made, I try to choose healthier options. I also remember that everything is about BALANCE, so when I really have a craving for something, I allow myself to have it, of course.

I made this dessert when I wanted to eat something sweet. It has peaches, natural yoghurt and chia seeds.

That day I had a craving for sushi.

I am a big fan of tea, as you can see, but I don't sweeten my tea. Only if it's the black one, I like to add some honey, but not very often.

I also drink a lot of water, approximately 2 l, but it differs every day. I limited juices and fizzy drinks.

Dinner

So, for dinner I sometimes eat leftovers from lunch, but most often a meal that my mom made. It really depends and I eat differently every day. I try to make it light, as it is my last meal of the day. I don't have any pics here.

Conclusion

I believe that eating healthier will make me feel better every day. I have already noticed some changes, not big ones, but still, I noticed them. Maybe in the future I will give you an update and the changes will be more noticeable.

What do you think about the idea of changing my eating habits? Have you tried anything like this yourself? How did it go? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments!

Stay tuned!
