Home-Cooked Meals VS Take Out

in HiveGhanalast year

Good morning Everyone. Hope we're all doing great . It's been a while i engaged on this platform due to my busy schedule but i am back fully.

Going through the weekly prompts i noticed that this week has exciting and interesting topics. And i will be writing about Home Cooked VS Take out. As a foodie i decided to also share my take on this topic.

Certainly! Both home-cooked meals and takeout have their own advantages, and it often depends on various factors such as time, convenience, health, and personal preferences. On my own part i prefer Home cooked meals because of the few reasons i will be stating here.

You notice that when cooking at home you have control over the ingredients you use. With this you can choose healthy ingredients to use which will contribute to a healthy diet. You are able to customise your meals and tailor the meal to your liking. Unlike when you go out to eat and notice that you ended up spending your money for something not worth the money and you end up eating something that will disturb you healthwise.

Home-cooked meals tend to be more cost-effective in the long run compared to dining out or ordering takeout regularly. Buying ingredients in bulk, cooking in batches, and minimizing food waste can help save money on groceries. Unlike spending more money ordering take out regularly. I can recall when i used to eat out regularly and now that i start cooking my meals i noticed that i have spent less because i use the money i am supposed to use to eat out to take a delicious meal i can likely eat and eat again. Which has really cut down my daily expenses.

Cooking at home provides an opportunity to enhance culinary skills and experiment with different recipes and cooking techniques. Over time, when you regularly cook, you can become more proficient in the kitchen. I am now getting better in my cooking skills unlike before when i will just comfortably eat anything outside because my dishes were not so palatable. But now i can eat my dish because my consistency makes me do new things always just to improve my culinary skill everyday.

Though on the other hand, takeout also has its own advantages. Takeout is convenience. It saves time and effort especially for people that are lazy and always want it easier and are not ready to waste time and also for busy families and individuals who may not have time or energy to cook after a long day at work or other commutments It eliminates the need to plan, shop for ingredients, and prepare meals. With just a phone call or a few clicks online, you can have a variety of food delivered right to your doorstep.

Another Advantage of takeout is the lack of cleanup involved. With no pots, pans, or dishes to wash, you can enjoy your meal without worrying about the post-dinner cleanup, making it ideal for those who dislike kitchen chores.

Both Home cooked meals and take outs has their own advantages but i will still prefer Home-cooked meal because of its health benefits, cost-effectiveness and customization. Whether i am immediately hungry i will still take on to my pot at home prepare for myself some nice stuffs and enjoy myself.

This is my own take.

Okay I think it’s really cool that you can still cook when you are hungry
Me I just can’t even use my brain when I’m hungry
Cooking might be cost effective but when the hunger hits I don’t even remember what cooking is anymore

Hahahahahhaa

🤣🤣🤣

I have had bad experiences that has subjected me to cook my meals by myself

Oh that’s understandable
