Hello my vegan lovers, it's another beautiful Sunday to do rice.
Most people have been told to reduce oil intake while others has be advised not to take it at all because of some health conditions(a hepatitis patient mostly will understand this situation) I have been in this shoe to know how it pinches and i know you're allowed to eat just white rice believe me with now it won't be just white, it would be a well garnished one. Furthermore, just have it at the back of your mind that this meal isn't just for sick persons. So i decided to make my rice with a drop of oil and know how it will come out.
Making my colored rice
Ingredients
- 180g of carrots
- 4 pieces of moderate fresh tumeric size
- 400g of parboiled rice
- 40g of green beans
- 160g of fresh tomatoes
- 1 small size of bell pepper
- 20g of scotch bonnet pepper
- 60g of onion
Step one
Usually soak my already Nigerian parboiled rice in hot water for 10 minutes, so i did. While waiting for it before the time to wash it, i pounded my tumeric and scotch bonnet pepper roughly for addition of more colors.
Step two
The next step in line was cut my veggies in a particular shape of my choice while i put my rice on fire adding just my pounded ingredients, that's the tumeric and pepper only and wait with the slicing.
Step three
The last and final step was to pour my sliced veggies into the pot of my cooked rice and cover for two minutes, believe me you wouldn't want to miss the aroma of the bell pepper coming from it.
Allow me take you to my plating stage. Where we serve and get different feedback, be it criticism or up lift feedback.
Lots of review came from those who ate it. One said, "this food is healthy and medicinal, infact i major for people who are sick." I smiled at her comment.
I will be waiting for you at the comment section, having you gone through the recipe. Definitely know you'll have something to say. Don't forget to upvote while you reblog if you feel the need.
