My local vegetable sauce with white rice.

It's Sunday morning, a day everybody believe that Rice should be done as breakfast, lunch or dinner. But little ones at home love eating rice so there's always already rice in the pot. So this morning i didn't feel like doing the regular stew, i decided to make a local sauce for my leftover rice from last night

This is ourlocal pumpkin vegetable sauce that i prepared and it can be used to eat different foods like boiled ripped and unriped plantain, white beans, rice or yam and can be eaten just that way. This sauce can be twisted, preparing in different ways, some make use of red oil and don't add tomatoes while others can add more and some others prepare it with vegetable oil and add tomatoes. I was thought how to prepare this in different ways, everyone bringing different suggestions on how it should be prepared.

My local pumpkin vegetable sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 pieces scotch bonnet pepper
  • 200g of pumpkin leaves
  • 5 pieces of small fresh tomatoes
  • 45ml vegetable oil of your choice
  • 1 pieces of small onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Step 1
Select, wash and cut your vegetable

Step 2
Slice onion, tomatoes and pound the pepper roughly.

Step 3
Put the pot on fire, pour the 45ml vegetable oil, add salt and pour in the onion and tomatoes stir well for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the quantity of the fresh tomatoes and let it bring out that fragrance that shows the water in the tomatoes has dried up.

Once the is dried pour in the vegetable and the pepper, be sure to adjust with your salt to taste.
The sauce is ready.

It is better served hot, can you imagine how this sauce taste? It's indeed delicious and nutritional content is on the high amount.
