It's a hot Friday afternoon, despite the heavy rain of the previous the Sun wasn't merciful. Making sure that my scheduled activities was achieved not minding the harsh weather. I came to an already boiled white rice with our regular kind of stew, my Nigerian friend's will understand when i say regular kind of stew. I do not want this, i said to myself. I know i have some groceries in the store, i went to my mushroom garden knowing is due for and harvested it to make the sauce i will be eating the rice with. It's something i haven't tried for the first time, so i wouldn't know how it would be but there must always be a first.
Making my mushroom sauce
Ingredients for the sauce
- 150g of onion
- 8 pieces of scotch bonnet
- 400g of mushroom
- 600g of fresh tomatoes
- 100g of carrot
- 70ml of vegetable oil
Having shown you my ingredients, come with me to the kitchen let me show you my recipe.
STEPS
One
Wash my mushroom, pound my scotch bonnet and cut my veggies to sizes of choice.

I poured the mushroom in the pot and seasoned it with some scotch bonnet the put on the fire to soften it bit because it's strong, i had to all it cook for some time then i added my carrots to it. After few minutes i brought it down, poured it inside a plate and set it aside.
Three
In same pot poured in my vegetable oil while on fire and allowed it heat. Then add my onion stir well giving it the opportunity to bring out it's aroma then add the fresh tomatoes and keep stirring for the water to dry up, then add the scotch bonnet give it a little fry and pour the already steamed mushroom into the pot. Remember there's no need to add water since i didn't let the water in mushroom dry up.

Cover and let it cook for few minutes then the sauce is ready.
The sauce is ready and can be used to eat white boiled rice, beans, yam or any other thing.
Am serving mine with white boiled rice like i already stated in the first paragraph. I came out beyond my expection, you can't just imagine. Please come have a taste.
