I've made banana preparations similar to these banana nuggets in the past, only they used flour and weren't vegan. Well this time we will make different banana nuggets using oat-based ingredients and definitely vegan-based. I think oats are the only ingredient that I can easily find, so to prepare anything is oat flour.
Steamed and then crispy fried bananas are what we call nuggets. I love this snack so much, even a lot of people at home love this dish. Well, vegan banana nuggets are definitely much healthier without flour and also using oats. The taste is similar, but those of you who eat oats will definitely love this version of nuggets. In addition to crispy, there is a different flavor from this dish that makes you can finish it in an instant. So, let's check out the recipe below!
Ingredients
- 100 grams of ripe banana
- 50 grams of oatmeal
- 20 grams cornstarch
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 5 tbsp oats
- 5 tbsp wheat flour
Making Procedure
Prepare the ingredients, mash the banana with a fork or blender.

After smooth, mix sugar and oat flour and add cornstarch then mix both.

Stir until evenly mixed, making sure the composition is right and the dough is not mushy.

Then add in a heat resistant pan, steam for 20 minutes until the dough is cooked. Then while waiting for it to cook, stir the flour and water as the coating material.

This is my first time trying vegan banana nuggets made from oat flour. I think they tasted just as good, and I love how the outer texture of the oat flour is so crispy and even lasts longer.
