I knew this would happen the first time I had the roasted meat at this restaurant—it was just so good that I had to return and try the other roasted dishes they offer. Yan Chuan Roasters truly is a master of roasted meat, and I was able to confirm that with this roasted chicken dish.
The first dish I tried from this place was the roasted pork, which I really enjoyed. Among different proteins, I think roasted pork is one of the more difficult ones to perfect because of the technique involved in cooking its multiple layers just right. So, I used it as a gauge to determine whether they were truly that good—and it turned out to be something I would definitely come back for.
It’s a good thing this place is located near the city—just a few steps from Lavender MRT station—and it’s easy to find.
They’ve been gaining popularity recently, which is evident from the growing number of diners at lunchtime. The first time I dined here, it wasn’t as crowded as it is now, which is a great sign that they’re doing even better these days.
The service is quite fast. Although I was fifth in line, I placed my order within just a few minutes. Their menu isn’t very extensive, which makes the ordering process quick and efficient. As soon as I sat down, they called my queue number after just five minutes of waiting. They manage their food preparation and ordering system very well.
The tenderness of the chicken is sublime! It’s much better than most of the chicken rice I’ve had before. Plus, the serving size is incredibly generous.
As always, I’m a big fan of their sauce mix—sweet, savory, and just the right amount of spicy!
Overall, this place truly delivers on flavor, quality, and generous portions, making it a spot worth revisiting. The perfectly roasted meats, quick service, and well-balanced sauces make for a satisfying meal every time. If you’re looking for a delicious and fuss-free dining experience near the city, this is definitely a place to check out!
