Love the little backstory to how this chutney came about! Sorry about the fight, hopefully it can be resolved.

But I cannot help but wonder if a smokey version of this will not be good as well? Roasting some eggplants over coals for that smokey flavour, and adding some smoked paprika to it... Might as well try it out! Thanks for sharing another wonderful recipe that I will now add to my "Things I Need to Cook" list.

        Oh yes smokeyyyyy would be great!!! Of course it's resolved, we never go to bed on an argument. It's not for no reason we have been together 22 years..
