During Ramadhan, those who want a simple menu for breaking the fast or sahur.
Balado Egg Recipe 🥚🌶️🥘
Ingredients:
- 4 boiled eggs (according to desired quantity)
- 4 large red chilies (adjust to desired level of spiciness)
- 5 red bird's eye chilies (optional, for extra heat)
- 5 red onions
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tomatoes
- Salt or seasoning
- Pepper to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Celery or spring onions for sprinkling
- Oil for frying
How to make:
Puree the red chilies, cayenne peppers, shallots and garlic by pounding or mashing using a blender.
Slice the tomatoes into small pieces.
Heat some oil in a frying pan.
Saute the ground spices until fragrant and cooked.
Add chopped tomatoes, salt and sugar. Stir well and cook until the tomatoes wilt.
Put the boiled eggs into the pan, stir well until the eggs are coated with balado spices.
Remove and serve the balado boiled eggs sprinkled with celery or green onions while warm. Good luck!
