I don't make cabbage rolls very often, but my biys reallg enjoy them, so when Jordan was still here a bit more than a week ago, I made some cabbage rolls, since he wanted me to make some.
I needed two big sized cabbages. The bigger, the better, si that the leaves are nice and big. But you also have to think of the size of the pot that you are going to fit the cabbage into.
Next, I had to cut out the corc/middle part of the cabbage, so that I can take the leaves off the cabbage while cooking it in a boiled water with a few spoons of vinegar. I forgot to take a picture of it.
I boiled the cabbage for about 30 minutes, taling the leaves appart one by one and making sure they are pretty soft, but not too soft. It's a good idea to do that night before, so that the leaves cool down and this way you can just save more time when you are preoaring the cabbage rolls.
Next, I cooked 2 cups of rice and in a seperate pan I cooked 1 kg of ground beef with some garlic and spices.
I also cooked 1 pack of chopped bacon pieces, which I added and mixed with the cool down rice and beef.
Now I need to prepare my own tomatoe sause to apply on top of the cabbage rolls. I used to use the canned tomato soups, but after checking out the ingredients on it, I really didn't want to make my family to consume, I decided to make my own sause.
I bought organic chocken stock to which I added tomatoe paste and some ketchup and half and half cream.
Now I am ready to make cabbage rolls. But before that I need to prepare my pot by applying the small cabbage leaves on the bottom of the pot so that the cabbage roll won't stick to the pot.
I also used some wax paper beneath the cabbage, but you don't have to.
Now on a plate I would put one cabbage leaf and pour some rice mix at the end of the leaf, and slowly wrap it up into a cabbage roll.
When my row is done,I would pour some tomato sauce all over the cabbage rolls and the put some cabbage leaves on top of it so that I can start my second row of cabbage rolls.
Once I am done, again I would pour some tomto sause a over the cabbage rolls and cover them with left over cabbage leaves and cover the pot and bake it at 325 degrees for about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs, until the cabbage leaves are nice and soft.
Now the cabbage rolls are ready.
The cabbage rolls were absolutely delicious.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection which is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most
amazing project that I would suggest for everyone in this hive community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services. Here is the link Click here
