RE: Cute little rabbits

I took a basic survival skills class, basically down to surviving with little more than a knife (if even that). The instructor said as soon as you realize you're in a survival situation in a remote area, find a decently weighted but not too thin/thick log thats about the length of your forearm. To be thrown sidearm at any small rabbit or squirrel you see. Obviously you're not going to starve to death immediately but you'll likely need the energy to build a shelter and get yourself out of the jam you're in.

That's good advice with the throwing log, probably a learned skill by someone who had to think on their feet. Most people in a survival situation do the most damage to themselves through panicking and the best way to avoid panic is to have some skills, be prepared as you are.
