RE: Life is too short to hate, still I dislike "okra"! [WE : 232]

in Weekend Experiences4 months ago

I learned to eat okra a few years ago, because I never liked the way my grandmother prepared it, very viscous and discolored, however a nice lady gave me her recipe and now I simply love it...some tastes change as the years go by....
If you want I can send you the recipe, although I doubt you'll want it...😅

Cheers and peace.

Learning new thing is never an issue. You will be surprised, that I am OK to cook it , I can make two types of it, but when it comes to eating, I seriously need some other mouth. ....looking forward to your recipe

Oh, my pleasure to send it to you, you could even share one of theirs with me, if it's not a bother.

Mine is simple.

Take the tender okra, wash it very well, chop it into small pieces.

Have prepared in advance in a casserole a meat -whichever you prefer-, in a long tomato sauce and with your favorite seasonings.

Add the okra together with a small portion of vinegar to the casserole of the cooked meat, begin to mix with a paddle over medium heat, in a few minutes the okra will open and will be mixed with the meat, add a little of the meat broth and let it dry covered in 5 min.

(Fry some green plantain chips, and add them before all the broth dries).

Super tasty.
