Fulfilling a promise by making Chinese fried rice

Hi vegan friends,

Have you ever made a promise which at the verge of fulfilling it you'll be in a state of dilemma if you're to fulfill it or not because of some certain circumstances. I actually made my sister a promise giving her an open blank cheque telling her to say whatever she wants me to cook for her and consider it done. She didn't waste time to say i want Chinese fried rice.

This food was one of the meals i learned in my culinary school. And I love how it tastes, it was at the school i had my first taste of it. Cooking is a hobby for so i didn't hesitate to enter the kitchen for dish which turned out to be a family lunch.

Making my Chinese fried rice

Ingredients

  • 1 kg of rice parboiled rice
  • 20ml of oyester oil
  • 20ml of soy oil
  • 3 pieces of green bell pepper sliced into different shapes
  • 3 medium sliced ball onion
  • 200g of sweet corn
  • 200g of green peas
  • 250g of sliced green beans
  • 300g of carrots sliced
  • 130ml of vegetable oil of your choice
  • a medium ginger

Step one
The first step taken is to wash my veggies keep them aside and went to wash my rice then slice my veggies. Cutting of the veggies needed more hands to get it done fast so i pleaded with @mesonia to assist me.

Step two
Set my pot with my vegetable oil on fire pour in my sliced vegetables accordingly starting from the hardest which is the carrot so it will soften with the others, the green beans and the others, but all my veggies went in before my Soy and Oyster oil was introduced into the pot.

I gradually poured my rice and stir for them to marry themselves well

Once they've mixed well together they rice is ready and can be served hot or cold. But hot for those who like a dish garnished with pepper, as there's no hot pepper in mea.

It's a meal that wasn't dish out once. It was dished out to each one according to their presents at home. So it wasn't all captured at once.

Thank you for visiting my Blog hope to see you again soon, do not forget to upload and make use of the comment section to air your view while you feel free to reblog.

Hi @iamchimary

You cannot use oyster sauce or oil in a vegan recipe. Oysters are animals, and veganism does not accept any animal-derived ingredients.

Keep this in mind in your future posts.

Well noted and wouldn't be used again.
