I want to share with you about my today's creation and its process.
Today I prepared Sabudana (Tapioca Seeds or Sago Seeds) Khichadi which is mostly we are preparing during fasting but today I was thinking to prepare something different from regular food so I prepared Sabudana Khichadi for breakfast. I added couple of types of veggie to make it colourful.
Sabudana Khichadi is very filling food and we will not be hungry soon after eating it.
So let's check the ingredients quickly and start with the process.
:: INGREDIENTS ::
🔶️ Sago Seeds - 150 Gm
🔶️ Potato - 1 Big
🔶️ Green Peas - 1/2 Cup
🔶️ Carrot - 1/2 Cup
🔶️ Cauliflower - 1/2 Cup
🔶️ Peanuts - 2 Tablespoon
🔶️ Cashew - 18-20 Pcs
🔶️ Oil - 2 Tablespoon
🔶️ Salt - As per taste
🔶️ Garam Masala - 1/2 Teaspoon
🔶️ Chilli Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
🔶️ Fresh Coriander Leaves - As Required
🔶️ Lemon - Half piece
:: PROCESS ::
Wash and soak the sago seeds in sufficient water for 7-8 hours so that this will become soft but it should be dry not sticky.
Chop all the vegetables in small pieces. Chop cashews in halves.
Heat oil in the pan. Add peanuts in oil and fry for sometime. Then add cashews also and fry sometime until turns light brown.
Now add chopped potatoes, cauliflower and carrots in the oil. Add little salt and stir it well.
After few minutes add peas alao in it. I have used frozen peas but you can use fresh peas also if available.
Mix it properly and cover the pan for sometime so the all the vegetables becomes soft.
Remove the cover if the vegetables became soft and add spices in it.
Mix well and add soaked Sabudana in it.
Add juice of half lemon.
Lastly add chopped fresh coriander and our Sabudana Khichadi is ready to serve.
Serve hot and enjoy
