Algo que he notado desde hace un buen tiempo que es cada vez son más los negocios de comida que abren en la ciudad y aunque quisiera poder visitarlos todos y probar su comida esto es algo que por los momentos no me puedo permitir, sin embargo, los concursos de Instagram son una alternativa más viable para mí y es gracias a estos que he podido conocer y probar la comida de muchos de estos lugares y aunque ha sido de manera gratuita la experiencia también cuenta y de hecho es hasta mejor. Dicho esto, hoy les quiero hablar no solo de uno de los más recientes premios que he ganado en estos concursos sino también mi experiencia degustando una de las mejores comidas que he ganado hasta ahora, en este caso se trata del pollo asado del restaurante La Pista Café & Gourmet y si quieren saber que tal estaba quédense hasta el final para descubrirlo.
Something that I have noticed for a long time is that more and more food businesses are opening in the city and although I would like to be able to visit them all and try their food, this is something that at the moment I cannot afford, however, the Instagram contests are a more viable alternative for me and it is thanks to these that I have been able to discover and try the food from many of these places and although it has been free, the experience also counts and in fact is even better. That said, today I want to talk to you not only about one of the most recent awards I have won in these contests but also my experience tasting one of the best meals I have won so far, in this case it is the restaurant's roast chicken ** La Pista Café & Gourmet** and if you want to know how it was, stay until the end to find out.
Este restaurante está ubicado en el área gastronómica del Polideportivo de Maturín y es uno de los establecimientos más grandes de esa zona, cuenta con 2 espacios para elegir según prefieras, que bien puede ser la parte interna con aire acondicionado y un ambiente acogedor con música o en la parte de afuera donde hay algunas mesas con sombrillas al aire libre, nosotros en ese momento optamos por quedarnos adentro, ya que por la hora (1 pm) el sol estaba muy fuerte y no era una opción quedarse afuera con tanto calor, sin embargo, de haber sido en otro momento del día sin duda me habría gustado disfrutar de ese bonito ambiente que tienen en el exterior del establecimiento.
This restaurant is located in the gastronomic area of the Polideportivo of Maturín and is one of the largest establishments in that area, it has 2 spaces to choose from according to your preference, which may well be the internal part with air conditioning and an atmosphere cozy with music or in the outside where there are some tables with outdoor umbrellas, at that time we chose to stay inside, since at that time (1 pm) the sun was very strong and it was not an option to stay outside with so hot, however, if it had been at another time of the day, I would certainly have liked to enjoy that beautiful atmosphere they have outside the establishment.
Entrando nos encontramos con el mostrador donde te atienden muy amablemente, en mi caso al no ser clienta sino que iba por un premio tuve que hablar con una de las chicas para notificarle, por lo que tuve que esperar la confirmación y mientras lo hacía noté que de un lado del mostrador tenían un exhibidor con postres fríos y diferentes tipos de galletas, todo lucía delicioso y provocativo y aunque no pedimos postre en ese momento no perdí la oportunidad de tomarle un par de fotos para mostrarles.
Entering we found the counter where they serve you very kindly. In my case, since I was not a customer but was going for a prize, I had to talk to one of the girls to notify her, so I had to wait for confirmation and while doing so I noticed that On one side of the counter they had a display with cold desserts and different types of cookies, everything looked delicious and provocative and although we didn't order dessert at that time I didn't miss the opportunity to take a couple of photos to show you.
En La Pista la especial es el pollo y echando un vistazo a su menú pude ver todas las presentaciones en las que lo ofrecen, gran parte del menú está compuesto por combos entre pollo a la broaster y asado con variedad de contornos para acompañar, incluyendo su nueva presentación *Cono tender. Los precios me parecieron bastante buenos y accesibles, se asemejan bastante a los de otros establecimientos aunque puede que el único factor que varíe sea la calidad en cada lugar.
Por otro lado La Pista también es un café y disponen de todo un menú con diferentes presentaciones, que al igual que con el pollo me parecieron muy buenos los precios aunque de estos no podría hablarles de tamaño y calidad ya que no los he probado aun.
In La Pista the special thing is chicken and taking a look at their menu I could see all the presentations in which they offer it, a large part of the menu is made up of combos between broaster and roast chicken with a variety of contours to accompany, including its new presentation *Cono tender. I found the prices quite good and affordable, they are quite similar to those of other establishments although the only factor that varies may be the quality in each place.
On the other hand La Pista is also a cafe and they have a whole menu with different presentations, which, as with the chicken, I thought the prices were very good, although I couldn't tell you about size and quality since I don't have them. I have still tried.
El lugar es bastante fresco y cuenta con un ambiente agradable, tanto que la espera no se hace tediosa. Nuestra mesa aunque era pequeña era ideal para nosotros 2, lo mejor de todo es que desde cualquier lugar en el que te ubiques tienes a la vista el área de la cocina, por lo que puedes ver como preparan la comida al momento. La estética del lugar me pareció bastante sencilla pero elegante y eso me gusta, una muestra de ello es su centro de mesa que me encantó al igual que el servilletero.
The place is quite cool and has a pleasant atmosphere, so much so that the wait is not tedious. Although our table was small, it was ideal for the two of us. The best thing of all is that from wherever you stand you have a view of the kitchen area, so you can see how the food is being prepared at the moment. The aesthetics of the place seemed quite simple but elegant to me and I like that, an example of this is its centerpiece which I loved as well as the napkin holder.
Tuvimos que esperar al menos unos 30 minutos por nuestra comida, sin embargo, como mencioné la espera no estuvo mal, más bien la aprovechamos para ver bien a detalle este nuevo lugar que visitábamos por primera vez y tomar muchas fotos. Al llegar nuestra comida a la mesa no pude evitar delirar con tan delicioso olor, sin embargo debía esperar primero por las fotos que me tomaron junto a la chica que nos atendió para luego finalmente disfrutar de nuestro almuerzo.
We had to wait at least 30 minutes for our food, however, as I mentioned, the wait was not bad, rather we took advantage of it to see in detail this new place that we were visiting for the first time and take many photos. When our food arrived at the table I couldn't help but be delirious with such a delicious smell, however I had to wait first for the photos that were taken of me with the girl who served us and then finally enjoy our lunch.
Finalmente hablando del premio este constaba de un pollo entero asado, el cual tenía buen tamaño, acompañado con una ración de 8 bollitos, todo en una cesta metálica y bañado en perejil picadito que le daba a su presentación un toque muy vistoso y provocativo. Como contorno incluía una porción de ensalada rallada que venía en un envase que si bien estaba pequeño alcanzó para que ambos comiéramos una buena cantidad, adicionalmente nos dieron 2 pequeños envases de guasacaca que a decir verdad estaba muy deliciosa y contrastaba perfectamente con el pollo. El premio no incluía bebida, por lo que tuvimos que comprarla por nuestra cuenta, así que pedimos un refresco de un litro para acompañar nuestra comida, tuvo un valor de 2$ y aunque era algo costosa valía la pena hacer ese gasto ya que la comida era gratis.
Finally speaking of the prize, it consisted of a whole roasted chicken, which was a good size, accompanied with a portion of 8 buns, all in a metal basket and bathed in chopped parsley that gave its presentation a very colorful and provocative touch. As a contour, it included a portion of grated salad that came in a container that, although small, was enough for both of us to eat a good amount. Additionally, they gave us 2 small containers of guasacaca, which, to tell the truth, was very delicious and contrasted perfectly with the chicken. The prize did not include a drink, so we had to buy it on our own, so we ordered a one-liter soft drink to accompany our meal, it cost $2 and although it was somewhat expensive, it was worth the expense since the food it was free.
El pollo estaba increíblemente bueno, doradito, muy jugoso y suave, ¡me encantó! La ensalada estaba deliciosa y la guasacaca no se diga, los bollitos por su parte aunque eran pequeños llenaban bastante. Lo que no me gustó es que nos dieron platos de anime y tenedores y cuchillos de plástico, lo que hacía que poder cortar el pollo fuera un tanto incomodo, sin embargo, como estaba suave no tuvimos que batallar tanto, aun así nos tocó ensuciarnos un poco las manos pero estábamos disfrutando tanto la comida que eso no nos importó.
The chicken was incredibly good, golden brown, very juicy and soft, I loved it! The salad was delicious and the guasacaca, not to mention, the buns, for their part, although they were small, were quite filling. What I didn't like is that they gave us anime plates and plastic forks and knives, which made cutting the chicken a bit uncomfortable, however, since it was soft we didn't have to struggle so much, we still had to get a little dirty. little hands but we were enjoying the food so much that it didn't matter to us.
La experiencia en general fue muy buena y no precisamente porque haya sido un premio sino porque la comida era realmente buena, hay muchos lugares en la ciudad que venden pollo asado y este es solo uno de tantos y hasta no probar otro mantendré el de La Pista de primero en mi lista como el mejor que he probado (hasta ahora), sin mencionar que la atención fue muy buena, al igual que el ambiente, así que si son de Maturín y tienen la oportunidad de visitar La Pista Café & Gourmet les recomiendo mucho que lo hagan porque les va a encantar. Por mi parte espero volver pronto para probar sus cafés y cuando lo haga les estaré contando por aquí mi experiencia.
The overall experience was very good and not precisely because it was a prize but because the food was really good, there are many places in the city that sell roast chicken and this is just one of many and until I try another one I will keep La Pista is first on my list as the best I have tried (so far), not to mention that the service was very good, as was the atmosphere, so if you are from Maturín and have the opportunity to visit La Pista Café & Gourmet I highly recommend you do it because you are going to love it.
