I hope your car will be fixed soon and it will pass the inspection. And that the mechanic is enjoying his vacation hahaha, but comes home quickly to repair your car! :))
We do need to take an appointment, if we don't want to wait for a few hours in the line 😅
When I lived for a few years in a much bigger city, there were lines to wait in too, but even then, it was usually not so long. Maybe they had a lot more stations there, I don't really know.
My mechanic may not be open again for 9 more days 😮 ha ha, but I hope he is having a wonderful vacation too. I entertained the thought of getting a rental car, but then I thought how I normally only drive a couple days a week now since I work at home and I thought it would be kind of a waste to rent on that long to only use 2 or 3 days. Maybe I will get more done here if I can't leave on my days off 😂 ... or not. One of my sisters lives fairly near to me and has offered to be available should I need something and my Mom has said the same, so I am not fretting over it at all. I really don't want anyone else working on my car, so I am choosing to wait.
It is of course better if your sister can help you out until the car is fixed. A rental car is not as cheap as it used to be a few years ago (at least here).
So, the mechanic truly is enjoying his vacation 😂
