It would be a fault on our part, the attendees of #BuzzPArty2024 in Hamburg, not to document what our meetings were like from the base of operations that we improvised at the Schanzenbäckerei in Hafentor.
A place where we went more than a couple of times during each day of the meeting and where we not only found a spacious and comfortable place to wait or make time but also served me to get closer to one of the aspects that most interested me in the city, its gastronomy.
Judging by the recommendation of fellow locals, @anna-newkey and @kiel91 , who told me not to pass up the opportunity to try the city's famous franzbrötchen, I knew this was a must in Hamburg, so I couldn't have been happier that, our host, @tibfox had chosen this place and that he had also counted on them to prepare the refreshments on the day of the talks at the event.
Our Schanzenbäckerei was the meeting point at all times, a space that we quickly kept as a safe place during our stay in Hamburg and that we ended up, sooner rather than later, calling our office, most likely some waiters recognized us for having entered many times during a single day.
Sería una falta por parte nuestra, los asistentes de la #BuzzPArty2024 en Hamburg, no documentar parte de lo que fueron nuestros encuentros desde la base de operaciones que improvisamos en la Schanzenbäckerei de Hafentor.
Un lugar al que acudimos más de un par de veces durante cada día del encuentro y en el que no solo encontramos un lugar amplio y cómodo para esperar o hacer tiempo, sino que también me sirvió para acercarme a uno de los aspectos que más me interesaban de la ciudad, su gastronomía.
A juzgar por la recomendación de los compañeros locales, @anna-newkey y @kiel91 , quienes me recomendaron no dejar pasar la oportunidad para probar los famosos franzbrötchen de la ciudad, sabía que esto era un must en Hamburg, así que no pude estar más contenta de que, nuestro anfitrión, @tibfox hubiese escogido este lugar y que además hubiese contado con ellos para preparar el refrigerio del día de las charlas en el evento.
Nuestra Schanzenbäckerei era el punto de encuentro en todo momento, un espacio que rápidamente guardamos como un lugar seguro durante nuestra estancia en Hamburg y que terminamos, más pronto que tarde, llamándole nuestra oficina, muy seguramente algunos camareros nos reconocían por haber entrado en el local muchas veces durante un mismo día.
In addition to taking over certain spaces for a few hours, we were frequent consumers of their products, so I doubt they could complain about our presence.
This bakery is one of those many places you find in Hamburg, that has ample space for diners, so, despite being many and having to distribute us at different tables, we always got a good place to rest, organize ourselves, exchange opinions, and go to the bathroom.
The first time we decided to meet there was a bit blind because many of us didn't know each other, so I shared a photo when I arrived and met @ph1102 @edje and @cryptospa so the rest could locate us.
Además de adueñarnos durante algunas horas de ciertos espacios, fuimos consumidores frecuentes de sus productos, por lo que dudo mucho que pudieran quejarse de nuestra presencia.
Esta panadería es uno de esos muchos lugares que se encuentran en Hamburg, que cuenta con un amplio espacio para los comensales, así que, a pesar de ser muchos y tener que distribuirnos en diferentes mesas, siempre conseguíamos un buen sitio para descansar, organizarnos, intercambiar opiniones e ir al baño.
La primera vez que decidimos reunirnos allí fue un poco a ciegas porque muchos no nos conocíamos, así que compartí una foto cuando llegué y me encontré con @ph1102 @edje y @cryptospa para que el resto nos ubicara.
Of course, the main advantage was always having a coffee to enjoy and a huge selection of pastries to recharge our batteries every time we passed by.
Here was where I discovered that the franzbrötchen would become one of my new whims, they are sweet rolls with cinnamon, I could say that they are a kind of crushed cinnamon croissant that also adds other flavors on top.
I was able to take advantage of our visits to try the different flavors of franzbrötchen that they make at Schanzenbäckerei.
Claro, la principal ventaja fue, en todo momento, poder tener a la mano un café que disfrutar y una enorme propuesta de bollería para recargar energías cada vez que pasábamos por ahí.
Aquí fue donde descubrí que los franzbrötchen se convertirían en uno de mis nuevos caprichos, son unos panecillos dulces con canela, podría decir que son una especie de croissant de canela aplastados que además versionan añadiéndole otros sabores encima.
Pude aprovechar nuestras visitas para ir probando los distintos sabores del franzbrötchen que hacen en Schanzenbäckerei.
The first one I tried was the chocolate one 😍 tibfox helped me decide because he told me that the traditional ones would be available at the event venue, so I got creative and had a delicious franzbrötchen with chocolate chips on top with an American coffee which, like the rest of the drinks that day, was sponsored by the event organization, so I only paid 1,90 € for the franzbrötchen schoko which was suuuuuper good!
During the different visits to the bakery, I also tried the other flavors available: the franzbrötchen kürbis (pumpkin seeds) and the franzbrötchen streusel.
But the best of all was arriving at the time to get ready to listen to the interesting presentations of our colleagues and finding a good arsenal of traditional franzbrötchen to taste without remorse.
I liked all of them very much, although the traditional flavor doesn't need any additions, it is by itself rich in flavor, the cinnamon adds a lot to the experience. It's a crunchy bun on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. I loved it and I do not understand how it is possible that outside this city they are not known if they are a delight!.
El primero que probé fue el de chocolate 😍 tibfox me ayudó a decidirme porque me dijo que los tradicionales estarían a nuestra disposición en el lugar del evento, así que me puse creativa y desayuné un delicioso franzbrötchen con chispas de chocolate por encima acompañado de un café americano que, al igual que el resto de bebidas de ese día, estaba patrocinado por la organización del evento, así que solo pagué 1,90 € por el franzbrötchen schoko que estaba suuuuuper bueno!
Además probé, durante las diferentes visitas a la panadería, los otros sabores disponibles que eran el franzbrötchen kürbis (semillas de calabaza) y el franzbrötchen streusel.
Pero lo mejor de todo fue llegar a la hora de prepararnos a escuchar las interesantes ponencias de nuestros compañeros y encontrarnos con un buen arsenal de franzbrötchen tradicionales para degustar sin miramientos.
Todos me gustaron mucho, aunque el sabor tradicional no necesita ninguna añadidura, es por sí mismo rico en sabor, la canela suma mucho a la experiencia. Es un bollo crujiente por fuera pero suave y dulce en su interior. Me ha encantado y no entiendo como es posible que fuera de esta ciudad no sean conocidos, ¡si son una delicia!.
Of course, these moments of tasting in our "office" were not just random visits, we were there to meet and move on to the next stage of the wonderful planning created by tibfox as well as receiving indications and some awards as well.
In the pictures, you can see how some prizes for participation in different activities of the weekend were handed out, at the moment we were getting ready to close our meeting and wished a good trip to some of our colleagues who could not stay for the farewell dinner.

Por supuesto, estos momentos de degustación en nuestra “oficina” no eran solo visitas aleatorias, quedábamos allí para encontrarnos y avanzar a la siguiente etapa del maravilloso planing creado por tibfox además de recibir indicación y algunas premiaciones también.
En las imágenes pueden ver cómo se llevaba a cabo la entrega de algunos premios por la participación en distintas actividades del fin de semana,en el momento en que nos preparábamos a cerrar nuestro encuentro y desearles buen viaje a algunos compañeros que no podían quedarse a la cena de despedida.
Aprovecho para agradecer además a quienes están en las fotografías: @coldbeetrootsoup @edb @ynwa.andree @bechibenner @louis88 por las buenas charlas, las risas y los grandes aportes dentro de la comunidad que compartimos.
