My dad did change his look a lot. He was into theater too so that probably had a little to do with it.

Oh, did he perform at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland? I visited it years ago, and the replica of Globe Theatre was quite surprising :) I saw one play there, King Lear, a version by a company from Ohio (?). The stage set was a cornfield, which I assume was meant to represent Cornwall :))
Not the best performance I've ever seen though, I vaguely remember it.
He never performed there. Probably his biggest role was the lead in South Pacific in Los Angeles along side Kim Darby. Can't remember the groups name off hand. She went on to be in several TV series and movies throughout the years including the 1969 version of True Grit.
