Hi foodies how are we all doing? today am craving okra with ogbono soup 🍲 I decide to prepare it the way am carving it. Note that Ogbono with Okra soup can be prepared in different ways and can be eaten with swallow, agidi, it can be eaten alone... Foodies Join me let's prepare it together 😋
INGREDIENTS
1, Okar
2, Ogbono
3, ½ a measuring cup Crayfish
4, Okpeyi
5, 2 Seasoning cube
6, Salt a teaspoon
7, Onion 2 medium size
8, Pepper
9, Meat
10, 1 Smoke fish
11, Pumpkin leave(ugu) 2 handful
12, Cowskin
13, ½ a measuring cup of Red oil
13, 2 cups of water
PREPARATION
Getting the vegetables ready, wash & slicing the okra, ugu and onions
Okra, ugu & onion sliced and ready
I wash the cawskin with warm water and salt then slice in to small size
Wash the pepper and put in a mortar add crayfish and ground, I add this quantity of pepper because I want it spicy
I have already wash the meat so I put it in a pot add the cawskin to it, onion and seasoning to taste I cook until it tender and soft
The smoke fish already wash and the cooked meat with Cowskin
In a pot i add 2 cups of water and let it get warm then I add the Ogbono and in this Ogbono it has crayfish and Okpeyi blended in it, turn and cook
While cooking if u must cover the pot be very observant so the soup won't spill over the stove because it has the tendency of rising once it starts boiling, so for me I prefer living it open so I can see when it starts rising...
So at this point I add the meat, smoke fish, red oil and turn. Note that once you put these things the rising will stop. Cover and cook for 5 minute
After it has cook for 5 minutes I add the okra and turn, at this point I tested for salt but it's okay because the Meat was well seasoned so I don't have to add any extra seasoning to the soup. I cook for 3 minutes after i add the okra
I add the ugu
Turn and cook for 2 more minutes and it's ready
It's ready I serve and enjoy as that's what am craving 🥰
