Noodle from the past? Worth the visit for it

in Eating Out11 days ago

Hi there and Good Morning all. Is my first time here and forgive me if I had mistaken for something wrongful. As today I wanted to share with you one of my random discover during my work visit at Khon Kaen Thailand.

I was greeted and ask to dine in by the staff. Once entered which amazed me for it's authentic old school look at this modern time. The owner tell me they wanted to preserve what it still can to give customer the feel from the past and which is not only the decorations it self, but also the noodle and recipe from their grand's as well. Now only I know is a family base business. What I must say is rarely seen it nowadays to keep them running.

Menu wise is a cardboard with only Thai available. Of course with pricing stated on it to avoid some confusion.

Every customer are serves with this tiny lil so called cup ( actually is a traditional Thai cup ) with ice and drinking water for you.

Now this is something special. A open air kitchen just located beside the road. Everything serves from here and takes your order from here as well. Wide, clean and spacious I must say.

During my order this pot got my attention for. Which is constantly boiling beef with pandan leaf and it's aroma and tenderness. I guess I should go with this.

Beef noodle arrived. Looks like really cant goes wrong it with. With the thick broth from beef and tender makes it special in all. Not to forget about their meatball as well.

As I order big bowl for it cost me 80฿ ($ 2.40) for it. With free drinks and veges for your preferences. Well that's for today. Thank you for your support and see you around soon.

wow how do you even know what to order. or you did some image translate. no english on menu and not even a picture next to the item number o.o. or you know thai?

That's a good question. Well I think I have used to staying here and roughly know what they offer and what to order. For first timer I do struggle to know what to order as well.

o.o I see. that makes sense. so for a first timer would be a bit hard to go to that kind of restaurant.

Yeah you're right. Normally for first timer you can point and ask what and they're happy to show you with what/types of noodle since the kitchen is outdoor.

o.o that makes sense. was that what u did when u were there first time

I think so bro if I'm not wrong. I remembered the first time I was so hype to see menu with pics lol. So just point at the pic will do the job.

o.o i see. i guess that could work. u should go to malaysia for food next o.o

Sure bro. Sounds good. I will. Any recommendation?

Wow the meal look so delicious I’m glad you had fun .

Highly recommended if you're a noodle lover.

I hope to try it soon 😁
