What a great way to prepare chestnuts! I think I'll try it one day. I think the addition of liquor is great, because it definitely enhances the flavor.
When I lived at my mom's house, my friend Eva used to give me chestnuts, since there were several trees in her country house. I usually ate them roasted or baked, sprinkled with some salt, I really liked them.
