Life is full of experiences. Also about new flavors that fill memories.
I realized that there weren't many cafes or restaurants worth visiting anymore. There are only a few worthy ones. Although currently there are many new cafes or restaurants popping up.
Business owners who just participate in the culinary business will certainly lose out to culinary owners who really think about the taste experience needs of food connoisseurs. There are many culinary business owners who currently only think about the design of the place to attract the attention of young people to take photos there. But they forget to have characteristics of the food they serve.
That's why even though I have visited many cafes and restaurants, only a few I visit again because their food really sticks on my tongue and in my memory.
Like this time, I returned to this restaurant again. The Coffee Crowd is a popular restaurant in the city of Medan which has outlets in many places. Especially in large malls in Medan City and Binjai City. Now they are also expanding in other big cities.
Well, there is always a reason to come back to this restaurant. They really take care of their taste quality. I have known this restaurant since I was in college.
The Coffee Crowd
I've lost count of how many times I've been to this restaurant. Indeed, it is at the mall. In the city center.
The Coffee Crowd has been around since 2012. The design of their place is simple but still looks luxurious. With prices offered in the middle class.
I often order the same menu when I come to this place. Often, hot noodles. But this time I will look for a different taste. I'm looking for delicious snacks for my coffee drinking friends.
So, I ordered hot cappuccino, fried bread, and fried radish cake. Those snacks are becoming my newest enjoyable taste experience.
Fried Mantau (Fried Bread)
The Coffee Crowd offers Indonesian cuisine and Chinese cuisine. That's a good thing because we will get more diverse food choices.
Fried Mantau, is a typical Chinese snack. Bread without filling served fried. So, in English I call it Fried Bread.
To be honest, this was my first time trying Fried Mantau. I'm really excited.
Fried Mantau served with srikaya sauce. Srikaya is made from coconut milk, egg, and sugar. So the taste is savory, sweet and also creamy.
Fried Mantau is served still warm. When I bit into it, the smell of fresh bread mixed with oil, ooooh, so good! I fell in love at first bite.
Plus the srikaya sauce, made me fall even deeper in love with Fried Mantau. I can say these snacks are perfect choices to accompany drinking coffee.
Fried Radish Cakes
When I hear the word radish, all I think of is a root vegetable that has an unpleasant aroma. In fact, I have never cooked radish in my life. Because of that curiosity, I finally ordered Fried Radish Cakes.
These snacks also come from China. I was quite surprised because when it came to my table, it looked like cakes. At first, I just like fries.
Well, Fried Radish Cakes are served with chili sauce. When I first took a bite, I didn't really like it. But over time, I quite liked it. Apparently, fried radish is made by grating radish and mixing it with rice flour, which is then steamed before finally being fried.
The taste is quite good, but of course, not as perfect as fried bread (Fried Mantau).
Good experience with fried radish cake. At least, I have the courage to try eating food with radish ingredients.
Hot Cappuccino
This is the last cup of coffee at the end of 2023. While expecting many good wishes, I enjoyed a delicious cup of hot cappuccino. ❤️
The Coffee Crowd never disappoints me for coffee, nor for its food menu. As I said at the beginning, this is a restaurant that will make me come back again.
Total payment for hot cappuccino and two snack menus is $5.5. I feel satisfied ❤️❤️❤️
